Exciting Developments!
So my last foray into the world of blogging was over three years ago. An awful lot has gone on in that time, not all of it good by any means.
One good thing though, I finally got around to publishing the second novel, The 16:04 to Vengeance. I tried lots of literary agents, but didn't find any interested, so self-published once more. I'd like to think I'm going to prove 'em wrong, but that's probably not going to happen!
I'm thinking I might run some promotional thingys soon, so watch this space for some special offers.
I hope you read it and enjoy. You can buy it here.

Progress...kinda.
I must get better at putting stuff on this blog more regularly. Mind you I said that last time....
Anyway, so the sequel to #DISCOVATRON which is still entitled #DELIVATRON, is finished! 62500 words so far. So the next stage is to give it an in depth rewrite, but I’m gonna stick it in a drawer for a few weeks, let it fester awhile then look at it again with a fresh pair of eyes.
I’m quite excited by it though, I reckon as a story it’s turned out alright! Might be a bit boring in the middle but hopefully I’ll fix that.
So next up I’m going to dredge up the railway based thriller novel from the hard drive and give it a rewrite. I last worked on that in early 2020 so it’s going to be like visiting an old friend.
I’m gonna whip it into shape then try and hawk it around a few literary agents. If I get a bite then great, if not, self publish again. #1604tovengeance

Oh dear...
I’ve just realised it’s been about seven weeks since I last typed anything on here.
Considering that blogs like this and other forms of social media are supposed to be the big thing in this day and age for marketing your wares, that’s pretty kind of poor I guess.
Progress on the sequel to #DISCOVATRON has somewhat stalled due to a broke down laptop ( a new one is on its way apparently ) and before that Xmas.
The working title for the sequel is “Delivatron” by the way, but that could change....
Only other news is that I’ve started selling the book on E bay now as well, should anyone wish to have a looky:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1438653546...
There’s also another entry on there to buy a signed and personalised copy for a couple of quid more.
So, note to self, get better at blogging! Maybe that’s my New Years resolution!

Ugh! Effort!
Good grief! So I decided to tidy up a little today and to go through the ever increasing pile of books that I have read this year and sort into ‘keepers’ and ‘charity shop’ piles.
So then I thought I should post ‘em all onto my goodreads profile whatsis first. Well, I got about 6 months worth added, then decided to have a rest.....Well, it has been a tough week!
In other news, I haven’t got very much further with the sequel to #DISCOVATRON in the past two weeks, I’ve been... umm ... researching. I know where I want the plot to go, but I need to come up with a way that is believable.
And, by Jove, I think I have it!
23,000 words so far. Let’s see if I can have it licked by Xmas!
(Mind you, I need a title first....

Progress? Nah..
Another long week at work completed. I should probably venture from my bed and do some chores before cracking on with some writing at some point, but, hey ho.
The next book, the sequel to #DISCOVATRON, is shaping up okay,I have come up with a way in which to save the day and create a happy-ish ending, but now it’s time to start writing it properly. Knowing my haphazard ways, the plot will wander off course and it will all turn out differently to my current ideas.
Maybe I should actually plan my stories instead of letting them just happen. They do say in management-speak that if you fail to plan, you plan to fail.

I knew this was going to happen....
.....All my good intentions when I started this blog, that I was going to put something down in it every few days: FAIL.
I put it down to nice weather and a couple of weeks off of the dreaded w@rk, causing laziness to set in even more than usual.
Anyway, the good-ish news is that I have a little idea for another story bouncing around in me nut at the mo, I’m putting bits and pieces down on the laptop here and there, so who knows, maybe there’s a sequel to #DISCOVATRON on the way.
Inspiration was from a walk last week which took in the disused hoverport at Pegwell Bay, a huge expanse of concrete that is slowly being reclaimed by nature.
I shall say no more, in case it becomes a spoiler

I'm a do-er not a seller!
The horrors of marketing and Why I shouldn't give up the day-job just yet!
So, a nice rest-day from the horrors of work... I thought I would have a look-see at where I am at with DISCOVATRON and maybe try to push on with a bit of marketing, with my non-existent budget.
For someone like me, who is old and doesn't really understand all these new-fangled things like social media, it's proving to be a bit of a challenge!
Hey ho, hopefully I'll get somewhere with it this afternoon!

Blog? Why not..?
How the DISCOVATRON artwork came about.
Well, I suppose this is another thing I need to do to move with the times, although finding something to type about that isn't just mindless drivel might be hard....
So. The cover of DISCOVATRON. (By the way, I've decided to always capitalise the title, rather the opposite of adidas).
I made and drew it myself, using a high resolution photo of my kitchen worktop to get something black-ish but with sparkly bits in it, then added flying saucers and stars in Paint.
I wanted to create an amateurish looking image, which would tie in with the amateurish space programme of which the DISCOVATRON is part. I think I did OK with that specification, d'ya think?
